Daniel Negreanu is a professional poker player from Canada who has won six World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets as well as two World Poker Tour (WPT) championships. Negreanu was named the best poker player of the decade by the independent poker ranking service Global Poker Index in 2014.
As of 2019, he is the third-largest live tournament poker winner of all time, trailing only Justin Bonomo and Bryn Kenney, both of whom won a special multi-million dollar charity tournament, with over $42,000,000 in prize money. He was named WSOP Player of the Year twice, in 2004 and 2013, making him the only player to receive the honor twice.
He was also named WPT Player of the Year in 2004-2005. He was the first player to make a final table and win a bracelet at each of the three WSOP bracelet-awarding locations (Las Vegas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific).
